When it comes to commercial remodeling, many think of just removing a few walls, adding shelves and new paint. This may be true for some projects, but not all. The degree of remodeling depends on the existing structure and how it will be transformed. When it comes to structures with unique features, strategic planning is needed along with specialized equipment not only to ensure there is no additional damage to the structure during the demolition, but also to keep the crew safe. Take banks, for example. Many banks have been converted into offices, retail stores or restaurants. The project requires strategic planning because there are several factors to consider such as the vault’s weight, size, and type of construction around it. Once the vault is cut out, there are the issues of transport and disposal. Empire Services knows how intricate this type of demolition can be. Let’s take a look at our most recent bank project.
We removed a concrete bank vault from a bank that will be remodeled into an office. We used a dingo loader with a concrete hammer to demolish the 12-inch thick concrete walls after removing the 3-ton steel bank vault door. The demolition debris was hauled to a disposal facility by Delaware Valley Contractors
(an Empire Group affiliate).
At Empire Services, we know what it takes to demolish a bank vault safely and efficiently. We understand the limitations of the project so we can provide an economical solution. After removal, customers are left with a clean space that is ready to be remodeled. Contact us today to learn more about our unique demolition projects!
