Fall is here and it's off to a great start for Empire Services. We have been busy with new projects, from a tire company to a play area. Here are some of the highlights.
A welcomed change for a front entrance! We removed the canopy in front of a business in Bethlehem, PA. Our team deconstructed the canopy piece by piece including the metal frame.
Empire Services deconstructed two office floors for a dental insurance company in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. The new tenant needed two floors to accommodate employees and other support areas. The project began with the removal of the ceilings, walls and then the flooring. Care was taken not to damage the carpet during demolition due to the recycling requirements. Once the flooring was removed, all adhesives where then ground smooth using various diamond grinders.
We recently took part in the restoration of the historic Lock #47 Canal in Berks County, PA. Our crew provided erosion control measures and excavation services, constructed coffer dams, and installed a bypass pumping system to control water infiltration. Excavation began with removing debris, old timber gates and hardware, and fallen sandstone blocks from the canal prior to the Berks County Parks and Recreation staff relocating wildlife from the canal. We can’t wait to see the lock when the restoration is completed.
We love school projects! Our team prepared the playground and parking area at an elementary school at 10th & Green Streets in Reading, PA. Some of the improvements included new blacktop, playground equipment and lighting.
At Empire Services, we are thankful for the opportunity to work on these and all other projects, enabling us to help our customers achieve their goals. We are also thankful for our team and everyone who works behind the scenes to keep Empire Services operating safely and efficiently. We look forward to the projects we will be working on in the winter!
